Justice Has Long Hair and Builds a Tank

This week on The PM Entertainment Podcast, we take aim at SHOTGUN (1989) — a gritty, grimy, utterly bonkers blast of renegade justice straight from the PM vault.

Meet Ian “Shotgun” Jones: an incredibly tall, long-haired, trilby-wearing, hot-headed cop with a name that tells you everything you need to know. When his sister — a sex worker — is murdered by a brutal, masked psychopath, Shotgun goes on a no-holds-barred quest for vengeance. But wait, there’s more! After getting suspended for being too much of a badass, Shotgun takes a gig as a bounty hunter and uncovers a full-blown drug empire run by a twisted lawyer with a fortress in Mexico. Oh — and in the final act? He teams up with a desert-dwelling hermit survivalist and builds a tank.

That's right. You heard us.

All of it set to a bad-ass soundtrack that sounds like a renegade keyboardist scored a fever dream in an alley behind a strip club.

Joining us to break down all the sleaze-soaked, renegade-cop, blood-splattered chaos is the always entertaining Moe Von Helvete (formerly of Drunk on VHS and No Budget Nightmares). Plus, we’ve got a quick clip from PM All-Star Paul G. Volk, who worked the boom mic on the film, edited it and has a story or two of his own. It’s violent. It’s sweaty. It’s morally questionable.

This is SHOTGUN, and it’s very PM Entertainment.
