Article Writer
Mike S. began reviewing movies on We Came From the Basement - with his first review being 2001: A Space Odyssey. He also provided Twitter commentary for the radio show's broadcast. Almost ten years later, he still receives death threats for his negative review of Kubrick's The Shining.

In 2013 Jay Mayo took to the stage as a standup comedian after many years as a comedy fan. Quickly rising through the ranks of the New England comedy scene, Jay has become the 'go to" host/support act that can always get the crowd rolling. Recently Jay has opened for comedians such as Lenny Clarke, Gilbert Gottfried, Andrew Shultz (Mtv, Brilliant Idiots podcast), Alingon Mitra (The Daily show, Last Comic Standing, Conan), Jarred Logan (Comedy Central, Mtv, VH1) and is a regular at comedy clubs all across New England.
In April of 2014 Jay ventured into the world of podcasting starting an interview style show called Hold The Mayo. Focusing mainly on the entertainment world Jay gets to know his guests through conversation in which both he and his guests share stories of how they became who they are and why Jay finds them fascinating. Throughout the years Jay has had the please of interviewing comedians, actors, film makers, athletes, and so much more. He recently has expanded the podcast by taking on co-host comedian/ writer Marie Forster (Huffington Post).
After building a successful podcast himself and having been approached by others asking for his assistance in starting a podcast, Jay decided to create his own podcast network. In 2015 Jay launched the Corrupt Audio Network. Featuring his flagship show "Hold The Mayo", he has produced shows that run the gamete of interesting topics of discussion. As their producer Jay has helped to create shows like "The Weekly Fix w/ the Joke Junkies" (a group of multi cultural/multi racial comedians ribbing each otherand crossing the line of political correctness), "It Came From Another Podcast" (horror movie discussions with actors, film makers, and horror fanatics as the guest), and "My Top Fivecast w/ Doug Guertin" (Doug asks 2 guests to make a top 5 list of their 1 favorite subject).
Jay has also appeared as an actor in television, as "Scout Lewis" in the short film "Scout Lewis, Private Investigator" and as "Officer Mayo" in the feature film "Slingshot Cops". Jay is also a voice over actor, who's voice can be heard in numerous projects worldwide.
