Episode 24 - Magic Kid
For Episode 24, we strap on our ninja duds and hi-ya our way through Magic Kid (1993) — Joseph Merhi letting his hair down and trading car chases and exploding buses for clowns, comedy and kid-friendly kung fu, as an 11-year-old karate champion from Michigan kicks his way through every gangster, surf bum and costumed assassin California has to offer. Don "The Dragon" Wilson shows up too, because of course he does. Joining us is filmmaker, YouTuber and all-round low budget cinema enthusiast Adam Thorn of Riot at the Movies, as we dig into the golden era of kids' martial arts cinema and celebrate the life and career of the wonderful Ted Jan Roberts.
