"Freaks" Teaser Trailer Premiere - Sci-Fi/Horror/Thriller film Starring Emile Hirsch and Bruce Dern
Official Synopsis: In this science-fiction thriller, a disturbed father (Emile Hirsch) locks his bold 7-year-old daughter (Lexy Kolker) in a house, warning her of grave dangers outside. But the mysterious Mr. Snowcone (Bruce Dern) convinces the girl to escape and join him on a quest for family, freedom, and revenge.
What The Diner thinks: With a slow disillusionment and dread creeping in to The Diner lately over bigger budget, blockbuster films and their lack of imagination and courage, we are also incredibly hopeful with some of the low to mid-range budget films we’re seeing getting a release. Freaks looks to be the next one.
The teaser trailer below shows an interesting, razor-blade tension filled, paranoia based science fiction thriller featuring two of my favourite actors Emile Hirsch (who doesn’t work enough) and Bruce Dern (a legend for six decades who’s still going strong!). The intriguing concept and the performances are enough to get my bum in a seat, opening day.
