This looks to be a nice, different take on the stale costume-drama genre.

I was initially skeptical as, growing up in England, I have had my fill of people in stuffy costumes, in stuffy rooms, ee-ba-gumming all over the place in regional accents with ruddy cheeks. People who leave drama school and immediately head to the moors to flounce around in a billowing shirt and glue on sideburns attempting to be the next Colin Bleedin' Firth!

While there is still certainly some of that in this new take on the "bodice ripper" story, it also looks nicely moody, dramatic and, yes, sexy!
