Beatriz (Salma Hayek), an immigrant from a poor town in Mexico, has drawn on her innate kindness to build a career as a health practitioner in Los Angeles. Doug Strutt (John Lithgow) is a cutthroat, self-satisfied billionaire. When these two opposites meet at a dinner party, their worlds collide and neither will ever be the same.

TRAILER

I am a big fan of Salma Hayek, John Lithgow and the writing of Mike White, so naturally I am excited for this film. A witty script and this set up of a wealthy dinner party is an interesting way to examine the divisions we're all feeling right now.

I am not sure that making her this perfect healer and him a rhino killing, billionaire monster gets to exactly the heart of the matter, as average people with average friends are finding and feeling division within their friends and families right now too but I will wait and see. I am sure it will be a clever, engaging and funny script, performed by actors at the top of their game, who are passionate about the source material.
